Entry in Political Life

Earlier, Maharaj Saheb Randhir Singh was not active part of politics even though he was a social and political thinker. His only desire was to serve his people and solve their issues. As a social worker he felt that the solution to the problem of backwardness in society lied in the political system and if he could bring about changes in the existing system then he could open a whole new progressive world for his people. He observed that people were facing challenges everyday due to the political system of that time. He wanted people to enjoy equal rights on social and natural resources without political discrimination. With time, he realized that the only way to deal with these challenges was to participate actively in the system. And he decided to be a part of the system and change to serve the people in better way.

He actively began his journey in politics in the 80s. He came in close contact with the popular mass leader Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat (former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Ex. Vice President of India) in the mid 80s. He was really influenced by Bhairon Singh Ji as he was a leader of substance in Indian politics. He was also inspired by the ideology of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP leaders like Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia and Atal Bihari Vajpayee also left a deep impact on him.

Randhir Singh has inherited the rich cultural and moral values of ‘Renunciation, Devotion and Sacrifice’ (‘Tyag, Tapasya and Balidan’) in his genes which were co-incidentally also BJP’s ideology. So, he decided to officially join BJP. His aim behind joining politics has been to serve the society and bring about positive social changes specifically in his homeland – Bhindar as this was the place his ancestors had established, nurtured and protected.

He had a strong conviction to develop this area and bring it to the main stream of national horizon as after independence, the entire Mewar region was left deprived of progress and development. He embarked upon his political journey keeping this in mind.
