He completed Master degree in Agriculture after his Graduation. He joined Bhartiya Janata Kisan Morcha (the farmer’s front of BJP). In the year 2000, poor and marginalized farmers were facing drought in Rajasthan. Congress was the ruling party and the administration was not being sensitive to the problems of the farmers. The drought had affected their livelihood adversely and it was a question of their survival as they had no alternate income generating options.

This stirred the hearts of BJP leaders and they started a state level program for farmers in Rajasthan focusing on the issues related to their livelihood. Their land holdings were few and there were lack of irrigational facilities.

He mobilized farmers at mass level and became a popular ‘Kisan Neta’ (Farmer Leader). It was his honest efforts and his dedication that has made him so popular in southern Rajasthan.
In 2002, he had organized a massive meeting for the state committee of Kisan Morcha in Bhindar. It was attended by the National President of Kisan Morcha – Shivankarji, the National General Secretary Madan Lal Saini, BJP State Ex-President Om Prakash Mathur.

He also participated in the state level farmer’s conference with ‘132 buses’ of farmer representatives from respective units. He worked as the convener of the Kisan Morcha for the Udaipur division. He succeeded to expand the membership and organizational base at every village in southern Rajasthan. During his tenure as the convener he successfully organized regional level Kisan Maha Panchayat where more than ten thousand farmers participated.
